Our
meetings are usually at dog shows. Upcoming is January 19, Ft.Bend
KC after Akitas show at 2. We will be at the concession stand.

Lone Star Akita Club is dedicated to the Akita Breed, through responsible
ownership, public education, and rescue. Our goal with this website
is to offer information on the Akita and keep Akita enthusiasts, owners
and breeders up to date on the latest news, events and health developments.

The Akita is a working breed that exemplifies dignity and power in motion. As legend suggests, they are regal and majestic as well as loyal and devoted family members. Although Akitas are not for everyone, our club members who breed and show, work hard to produce dogs that make wonderful companions and family members as well as champion Akitas. All of our club members don't breed or show in conformation, but they too participate in training, obedience, fund raising, education and promoting responsible dog ownership.
